Relationship Tarot Reading: Where Is This Going?

Five cards on the two of you: where things stand now, how they are moving, what is in the way, where the current path leads, and what would help. It is a read on the pattern, not a verdict on the relationship.

When you are not sure where you two are headed

Every relationship has stretches where you cannot tell which way it is going. The texts get shorter, the same argument keeps coming back, or you have been “seeing each other” for months and nobody has said what this is. This relationship tarot reading is for those moments. It uses the 5-card Relationship Development Spread: the current state of things, how they are developing, the obstacle between you, where the present path leads, and advice for what to do next.

Tarot cannot tell you for certain whether you will stay together, and it is not here to decide who is right. What the cards show is the pattern you two are in and where it tends to lead if nothing changes, which also means they show where change is possible. It works for long-term partners, marriages, long distance and situationships alike. Geumeum writes the reading around what you tell her and the five cards you draw.

What the 5 cards show

The Relationship Development Spread reads the two of you as one story: where things stand, how they are moving, what is in the way, where this path leads, and what would help.

Questions you can ask

  • We have been together two years and keep having the same fight. Where is this relationship going?
  • We have been talking for three months but it never moves forward. What is going on between us?
  • Since we went long distance, we barely talk. What does the future look like for us?
  • Marriage keeps coming up and then getting dropped. What is holding us back?
  • Things have felt flat lately. What can I do to bring us closer again?

How it works

1

Describe the relationship and your question

Say how long you have been together or talking, what has been bothering you lately, and the one thing you most want to know. You do not need to share names.

2

Draw 5 cards

Use Online draw, Flip cards or Choose from deck to pull five cards from all 78. Reversed cards count too.

3

Read, then follow up

Geumeum writes the reading around your situation and each position. Sign in to save it to your history and ask a follow-up about the same cards.

Tips for reading your cards

The obstacle is not about blame

The “Obstacle” card names what is getting in the way between you, not who is at fault. Read it as something the two of you could talk about.

The final result is the current path

The “Final result” card shows where things lead if you both keep going as you are. If something changes, the outcome can change too, so do not treat it as a sentence.

Start the advice with yourself

The “Advice” card usually points to something you can do, not a way to change your partner. Try one small step before you decide what the reading means.

Common questions

Is this relationship tarot reading free?

Drawing the cards and seeing what each one means is free, with no sign-up needed, and you can read the first lines of the reading too. The full reading uses credits. New members get welcome credits, enough for one full reading, and follow-up questions use credits as well.

Can tarot tell if we will stay together?

Not with certainty. The cards show the pattern in your relationship and where it tends to lead, which is useful for deciding what to talk about or what to change. How it actually turns out depends on what you both do next.

What if I mostly want to know how they feel?

If your real question is how they see you, our Their Feelings Tarot is a better fit: it reads your side and their side next to each other. This reading looks at the relationship as a whole and where it is heading.

Does it work for a situationship or a long-distance relationship?

Yes. Describe what is going on in a sentence or two, for example “we have been talking for three months but never made it official”, and the reading will work from that.

How should I phrase my question?

Give a little context and one clear question. “We have been together a year and see each other less and less. What can I do to make this better?” gets a far more useful reading than “What will happen?”

What if I draw hard cards or reversals?

It does not mean the relationship is over. Difficult cards and reversals usually point to where you are stuck or what needs attention. Read them alongside the Advice card and ask what you could change.
