Step 1 of 4

Where are you right now?

BaZi love timing starts from a question most people only ask late at night: when will I finally meet someone? Maybe you just came out of something, maybe you've been single long enough that friends stopped asking, or maybe you're stuck in a situationship that never got a name. BaZi, the Chinese Four Pillars chart built from your birth date and time, doesn't promise a soulmate on a set day, but it is very good at one thing: showing when the parts of your chart that stand for relationships light up.

The free tool above asks a few quick questions, builds your chart and gives you a 24-month heat strip, how many clear love windows you have and which season the nearest one falls in, no sign-up needed. Below, Geumeum explains what the chart looks at, why a window is a window, and what it means when nothing shows up yet. Think of it as a Chinese astrology love forecast with the working shown.

How BaZi love timing reads your chart

Your BaZi chart has four pillars: year, month, day and hour of birth. Each pillar has a top half (a heavenly stem) and a bottom half (an earthly branch), and each of those carries one of the five elements. Relationships live in three places in that chart: the partner star, the partner palace, and Peach Blossom, an old name for the branch that stirs up attraction and social charm.

Time moves through the same system. Every year and every month has its own pillar, and as the months roll by they bring elements and branches that either touch your relationship spots or leave them alone. Love timing is simply the practice of checking, month by month, when those touches happen and how many of them stack up at once.

The engine also checks your current 10-year luck pillar, the longer chapter you're living in. Some chapters carry love signals of their own; others shake the partner palace and make things feel unsettled for a while. Months are read inside that chapter, not on their own.

Your partner star follows who you're into

In classical BaZi, a man's chart reads the Wealth star as his partner and a woman's chart reads the Authority star (sometimes called the Pressure star) as hers. That rule was written for a world that assumed everyone was straight. The idea underneath it is simpler: the partner star is the element that stands for the kind of person you're drawn to.

So the tool asks who you're into, and follows that. If you're into men, it reads the Authority star. If you're into women, it reads the Wealth star. If you're into any gender, it reads both. The classical convention is just the straight case of the same idea, and gay, lesbian and bi users get exactly the same careful reading.

The tool also asks your sex, but only as a calculation setting: in BaZi it decides which direction your 10-year luck pillars run. It has nothing to do with who you date.

The partner palace: the seat of a relationship

The partner palace is the branch under your day pillar, the pillar that stands for you. It's the seat a partner occupies in your chart. When a year or month combines with that branch, the seat feels warm and occupied; when one clashes with it, the seat gets jostled.

Branches pair up in a few known ways. Six harmonies are quiet one-to-one bonds, like Rat with Ox or Tiger with Pig. Three harmonies are wider groups, like Monkey, Rat and Dragon, that pull the same direction. Clashes sit opposite each other on the zodiac wheel, like Rat and Horse or Rabbit and Rooster. There are also lighter frictions, called punishment and harm, which show up as small irritations rather than big jolts.

A combining month can bring someone close or move a stalled connection forward. A clashing month is what the tool marks as a slow-down month: a stretch where things get choppy and it's better not to rush a decision. It is never bad luck, just weather.

Peach Blossom in BaZi: your months of extra charm

Peach Blossom BaZi is one of the oldest and best-known love signals. Your Peach Blossom branch is found from your year branch and your day branch. If either is Monkey, Rat or Dragon, your Peach Blossom is Rooster. Snake, Rooster or Ox gives Horse. Tiger, Horse or Dog gives Rabbit. Pig, Rabbit or Goat gives Rat.

When a month arrives carrying your Peach Blossom branch, people tend to notice you more and you tend to say yes to more plans. On its own it's a mood, not a meeting. Paired with a partner star or a combination on your partner palace, it becomes one of the strongest window signals the tool looks for.

How a love window is found, month by month

BaZi months don't follow the calendar page. They follow the solar terms, so each one starts around the 4th to 8th of a Western month, and the year turns at the Start of Spring in early February. The tool reads each of the next 24 months that way, starting from next month.

For every month it asks three things. Does the year or the month bring your partner star? Does it combine your partner palace? Is it a Peach Blossom month? A window needs at least two of these at the same time. If two land in that very month, the tool marks it as very clear. One signal alone just shades the heat strip a little warmer.

That's why the free result tells you how many clear windows you have and which season the nearest one falls in, rather than a vague yes or no. If you've been searching when will I meet my soulmate, this is the honest version of the answer: here is when your chart is most open to it.

  • Partner star arriving in the year or month
  • A year or month combining your partner palace
  • A Peach Blossom month
  • Two of these together make a window; two in the same month make it very clear
  • A month that clashes the partner palace is marked as a slow-down month

Why it hasn't happened yet: common blocks

Most charts have a block or two, and the free result tells you how many yours shows. A block isn't a wall. It's a pattern that explains why things keep stalling, and each one has a practical way through. The full report takes them one by one.

Here are the ones the engine checks. Notice that every one of them describes a habit or a circumstance, not a sentence passed on your love life.

  • Partner star hidden in the branches or not on the face of the chart: love tends to come with timing, so stepping into new circles matters more for you
  • Partner star sitting in the void: it's easy to wait and let a good chance slide past
  • A clash or friction on your natal partner palace: relationships may start fast and wobble, so slower pacing helps
  • Many Peers if you're into women: rivals, or a circle so familiar nobody feels like a date
  • Maverick Talent meeting Authority if you're into men: high standards and a sharp tongue that can scare off decent people
  • Too many partner stars: lots of options, harder to settle on one

Where you're likely to meet, and who

Which pillar your partner star sits in hints at where a meeting is likely to come from. In the year pillar, it points to introductions through family, old friends, classmates or your hometown. In the month pillar, it points to work, school or your industry. In the day pillar, it points to everyday life, your close circle, somewhere near home. In the hour pillar, it points to online spaces, hobbies, side projects, someone younger, or settling down a bit later.

The full report also sketches what the person is likely to be like, from the element of your partner star and the Ten God sitting in your partner palace. Take it as a vibe to recognize, not a checklist and never a guarantee. People are bigger than their charts.

Free BaZi love timing result vs the full report

The free result needs no account. You get the 24-month heat strip with slow-down months marked, the number of clear love windows and the season of the nearest one, whether your partner star shows on the chart, is hidden in the branches or isn't on the face of it, and how many blocks the chart shows.

The full report costs 300 credits, paid once, not a subscription. Geumeum answers in six parts: when love arrives, with month ranges and the earliest first; why it hasn't happened yet, with a concrete way through each block; what each window is like and how to catch it; where you're likely to meet; what the person may be like; and what to do between now and the first window.

The report stays in your history, and you can keep asking Geumeum about it afterward for 5 credits per message. Mooncake, her grey cat, does not charge for supervision.

BaZi Love Timing FAQ

What's free and what's paid?

Everything in the first result is free with no sign-up: the 24-month heat strip, the number of clear love windows, the season of the nearest one, where your partner star stands and how many blocks you have. I don't know my birth time. Can I still use it?

Yes. Pick I don't know the time and the tool builds the chart from your date alone. Your day pillar, which holds the partner palace, and your year and day Peach Blossom still work, and so does the month-by-month timing. What you lose is the hour pillar, so a partner star that might sit there can't be seen and the online-or-hobbies meeting hint can't be read. If you were born close to midnight, the day itself can be uncertain, so it's worth asking family.

I'm gay, lesbian or bi. How is my partner star chosen?

From who you say you're into, not from your sex. Into men means the Authority star, into women means the Wealth star, into any gender means both are read. The classical rule of Wealth for a man and Authority for a woman is just the straight version of this. The sex question only sets the direction of your luck pillars.

There's no clear window in my 24 months. Does that mean I'll stay single?

No. It means the next two years read as groundwork rather than arrival, and the heat strip still shows which months run warmer. Charts often show love coming with timing after a quieter stretch, and what you do in that stretch, like new circles, clearer standards, fewer half-in connections, shapes what you can catch later. The full report spells out that groundwork and looks at your 10-year luck pillar too.

I'm in a situationship. Can this tell me about that person?

Only about timing on your side: whether the coming months make things move, and when they might get choppy. It reads your chart, not theirs, so it can't tell you what they feel or whether they're right for you. For that you'd need their birth details and a compatibility reading of both charts.

My birthday is a lunar date. Does that work?

Yes. Choose lunar when you enter your date and type it as your family knows it. It's converted to the solar date before the chart is built, so the pillars come out the same as if you had entered the Western date.

Why does it ask for my birthplace?

To get your time zone right, since the hour pillar depends on local time. You can also turn on true solar time, which adjusts for how far east or west you were born inside your time zone. It matters most if you were born near the edge of a two-hour block.

How accurate is BaZi love timing, honestly?

It's a reading of patterns, not a forecast of events. The tool is precise about the chart: the pillars, the combinations, the months. Whether you meet someone also depends on where you go, who you talk to and what you're ready for. Use the windows as a sense of when to lean in and the slow-down months as a sense of when not to force things, and keep your own judgment in charge.
